Welcome to the New Torch

The launch of the online Torch marks an exciting change in the way the Smithsonian community communicates. We can now link to videos and photography, keep you informed of breaking Smithsonian news and offer other special features. This is the place to comment, share your insight or expertise and start a conversation with colleagues around the Institution. Think of the new online Torch as a combination of local newspaper, town commons and office water cooler. We’ll be updating content on an ongoing basis, so check back frequently to find out what’s new. Subscribe to our RSS feed by clicking on the orange button at the upper right of the Torch home page and receive automatic updates as they are published.
